Village Hall will be closed Thursday 11/26/20 & Friday 11/27/20 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.
*Monday, November 30, 2020, the Village of Fredonia will start flushing water mains and fire hydrants in and around the Village weather permitting. The Flushing will be done from 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
The flushing will take approximately two weeks and during this process, residents may experience turbid water and reduced water pressure. The Village recommends that residents check the quality of their water before doing laundry.*

The Village of Fredonia is picking up loose and bagged leaves daily; there is no set schedule. Crews will be collecting leaves in each section. Additionally residents may drop leaves off at the Street department in the designated area. No brush will be picked up or accepted at the Street Department.
State of Emergency Declaration

The Village of Fredonia hereby extends a local State of Emergency effective Monday, November 9, 2020.
This extension of the local state of emergency has been declared solely to further the continuation of emergency funding opportunities for current and future water projects.
Our water continues to be SAFE to drink and use, and there are NO boil water advisories.
This action is in coordination with other government agencies and will continue until emergency funding efforts for the essential projects has been exhausted.
This State of Emergency will remain in effect for a period not to exceed 30 days or until rescinded, whichever occurs first. This order may be extended for an additional period not to exceed 30 days.
As the Mayor of the Village of Fredonia, I Douglas P. Essek exercise the authority given to me under Article 2-B, Section 24 of the New York State Executive Law, for the purpose of procuring goods and services, and to render all required and available assistance that is vital to the security, well-being, and health and safety of the citizens of the Village of Fredonia.

Village water customers: the Department of Public Works and the Water Treatment Plant are conducting the start-up and testing of the Vineyard Drive Pumping Station. You may experience discolored water. The water, although discolored, is safe to drink and does not need to be boiled. This is temporary and we apologize for any inconvenience.
