 Standing Committee Appointment Objectives and Goals:

STREETS & SIDEWALKS:                                                                Jim Lyndon; Kara Christina
  1. Work with Street Superintendent to identify and prioritize projects, and Capital projects with citizen input.
  2. Identify and Prioritize sidewalk replacement as well as new sidewalks and work with Street Superintendent and Travis Gordon to look for funding to provide our residents with a safe, complete walkable downtown and surrounding areas where sidewalks lead to areas of housing to give safe access to downtown.
  3. Other cost saving ideas.

PUBLIC BUILDINGS:                                                                        Jim Lynden; Kara Christina
  1. Review all municipal and village owned buildings with their perspective Department Head representatives to determine any upgrades or repairs or any intermunicipal collaborative ideas that make sense.

INSURANCE:                                                                                      Jim Lynden; EvaDawn Bashaw
  1. Assure that all Village assets are properly insured.

ZONING & PLANNING:                                                                 Jim Lynden; Kara Christina
  1.  Work with Zoning and Planning Boards and our Chief Zoning Officer and Code Enforcement Officer to ensure all of the codes are being enforced, and enforced fairly and equally.
  2. To work with our Planning Board to update our Comprehensive Plan collaboratively with the Town of Pomfret.

 LIGHTING:                                                                                         Jim Lynden; EvaDawn Bashaw
  1. To review LED conversion opportunities and recommend a company that would best fit the Village needs.

SEWERS:                                                                                              Jim Lynden; Kara Christina
  1. Work with Streets Superintendent to cut down and possibly eliminate influx
into the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Also look into treating City of Dunkirk’s sludge at our plant as part of a collaborative effort.
